This month we would like to spotlight Jeff Suver! Jeff plays a critical role at ATS as a Homeland Defense Exercise Planner. He provides Exercise Design and Control (ED&C) support for key exercises with ARNORTH and NORTHCOM, including DCO/E CERTEXs, Vibrant Response, Ardent Sentry, and more. Jeff’s expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the National Guard enables him to write and script realistic scenarios that enhance readiness and response capabilities.

Jeff’s impact at ATS is undeniable. He successfully led two major programs:

1. The RMMS NGB Contract: This initiative provided simulation support for HRF EXEVALs and CTEs while expanding into custom DSCA exercises for State National Guard JFHQs and Standing JTFs.
2. The NGB UCP COP Contract: Partnering with Juvare, Jeff spearheaded the development of a standardized Common Operating Picture (COP) using the WEBEOC platform for all 54 National Guard states and territories.

With 26 years of service in the Army, primarily on active duty with the Ohio National Guard, Jeff’s military background is extensive. His deployments with the 37th IBCT supported operations in Iraq and Kosovo. He retired in 2019 at the rank of Colonel, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and dedication.

Jeff is the proud father of two daughters, Maya and Megan. Maya is a senior at Otterbein University, while Megan is a sophomore at Ohio University. When not planning exercises or traveling for work, Jeff enjoys quality time with his daughters, kayaking, and mountain biking Ohio’s scenic trails. Jeff is a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, an affiliation that may not make him very popular when he’s in San Antonio, but he reps his team proudly! GO BIRDS!

After retiring from the military, Jeff’s first role was as a Senior VP at JP Morgan Chase. While successful, the work lacked purpose for him. At ATS, he’s found a mission-driven organization delivering impactful products and services to government and industry clients. Jeff values the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled professionals who challenge organizations to improve and excel.

This summer, Jeff is fulfilling a long-time dream of visiting Croatia. Known for its stunning landscapes, he’s eager to explore the country and soak in its beauty. For Jeff, life revolves around his daughters and staying deeply connected to their lives.
