This month we would like to spotlight Steve French! Steve is a Program Manager who manages and supports projects for ETSC, TSS-E, MTCCS II, and various subcontracts. His notable accomplishments include leading the rapid preparation and execution of the first 353 VOTF exercise in 2023, coordinating a team of 125 personnel in under 30 days.
Steve served nearly 35 years in the Army, including 30 years on active duty, with 20 years as a Simulation Operations (FA57) Officer. His career highlights include commanding the Southern Division of the 75th Training Command, conducting multinational training exercises in Central and South America, and leading disaster response training in Guatemala that was credited with saving thousands of lives during the Volcán de Fuego eruption.
Passionate about the value of training and technology, Steve admires ATS for providing essential training solutions to government and industry clients, particularly in DSCA and HA/DR areas. He values collaboration with SMEs and highlights their transformative impact on organizations.
Outside work, Steve enjoys traveling, family time, and country dancing. A former youth sports coach, he believes in its role in child development. He hopes to visit Hawaii and emphasizes the importance of friends, family, and lifelong learning. His passion for computer simulations shaped his career path, starting from his intrigue with programming as a child.
