ATS provided the ATSsim Constructive Simulation environment in which to replicate the activities of the Joint Task Force-Civil Support and the DCRF forces, along with the Department of Defense Title 10 assets for the DCO/E Region IV Collective Training Exercise (CTE) at North Carolina JF-HQ/Emergency Management Center from 6-15 FEB 2025.
The CTE is a Collective Training Exercise for the DCO/E RGN IV, and the four DCRF Task Forces (TF OPS, AVN, LOG, and MED). The contract vehicle under which the exercise was delivered was RMMS. Overview of the scenario: A 1000kt NUDET that occurred approx. 1000ft above the city of Charlotte, NC. Structures that are within 3KM of downtown suffers moderate damage, and structures that were within 11KM of downtown suffer light damage. The people that are within 2.25 KM receive deadly doses of radiation, while those out to 6KM receive 3rd degree burns. Eleven airborne aircraft within 11KM of the blast lost electrical power and crashed.
Technology and supporting tools used to deliver the exercise were ATSsim Training, USNORTHCOM MAVEN/GAIA, Email. ATSsim is a cloud-based Constructive Simulation, effective in replicating the Force Flow (units flying and/or driving into the Joint Operations Area (JOA)); and then for replicating Friendly Force Tracking of units and crewed vehicles executing missions within the JOA. ATSsim allows for the distribution and consumption of classes of supply and generates reports to the LOCON. ATSsim stimulates the COP tools of record (JADC2, JACOP, and PALANTIR) with a dynamically updated KML. ATSsim Training is the most effective simulation currently available to execute DSCA training missions.
The Region IV DCO/E were certified in all aspects and ready to support Lead Federal Agencies. All personnel and equipment redeploy safely and are re-set in preparation for mission execution.
As a leader in emergency preparedness training and readiness, ATS continues to actively work to deliver innovative, experience-based disaster-preparedness exercises solutions for local, state and federal agencies to protect communities.
