At ATS, we are proud to spotlight the hard work and dedication of our team members. This month, we would like to capture Bill Tomlin, Project Manager, Exercise Design and Control, who plays a crucial role in helping government agencies and organizations stay prepared for any event.
As Project Manager, Bill leads diverse teams tasked with designing, controlling, and executing complex exercises tailored to local, state, and federal clients. His role is fundamental in ensuring that organizations like the Department of Defense, FEMA, and various state and local partners are ready to respond to large-scale disasters effectively. Bill shares that his proudest accomplishment at ATS has been keeping a cohesive, dedicated team of full-time employees and independent contractors together for the past five years—a testament to his leadership and commitment to team unity.
As a retired United States Army veteran, Bill brings with him 25 years of service experience. His extensive military background is invaluable in his role, allowing him to lend both tactical expertise and a deep understanding of the missions his teams support. After his final Army tour, Bill naturally transitioned into his current role, which aligns closely with the work he did in service.
Bill’s personal life is equally fulfilling. He and his wife, Lisa, have two grown children, Will and Lizzie. Outside of work, he enjoys unwinding by the water, often casting a line to pursue his passion for fishing. When asked what drives him, Bill mentions his unwavering dedication to his family and his work, both of which fuel his daily contributions to ATS.
Thank you, Bill, for your remarkable service and the leadership you bring to ATS. Your expertise, passion, and commitment make a lasting impact on our clients and team every day.
