The Haag Geoportal is a comprehensive online platform for property damage assessment and analysis. The Geoportal aims to enhance and expedite data analysis and reporting processes for professionals in the insurance, legal, and forensic investigation fields by providing accurate, reliable, and legally defensible weather event data. The Geoportal Reports provide comprehensive data on various storm types, including hurricanes, wind, hail, and tornado events. This tool is designed to provide users with access to high-resolution aerial imagery, property data, and advanced mapping capabilities.  

Haag had created a home-grown portal that needed to be rewritten to allow scaling and use modern technology. This modernization effort would use reactive frontend paradigms and a backend cloud ready approach. ATS provided all architecture, design, and development work for all components of the system.  

First, requirements were gathered and uses cases analyzed. Next, professional UX designers designed the application from beginning to end, including both user and admin journeys. After the design was finalized, and all sprints built out, ATS developers began work. ATS architects developed the cloud ready architecture that included a local docker development environment. The system components were containerized and CI/CD pipelines where setup for fast and simple deployments to both test and production environments. 

The Geoportal has been a wonderful success and has streamlined access to historic weather data for professionals. The platform is being expanded to offer other products that will continue to increase its market share in this space. Because of this, and the Geoportals modern design and fell, the Geoportal has established itself as a leader in the industry among its competitors.
